Irish Water Spaniel

Irish Water Spaniel

The Irish Water Spaniel is an active and willing sporting breed, known for its deep loyalty and natural intelligence. Often called the “clown of the spaniels,” these dogs delight in doing ordinary things in extraordinary ways.

They make good family dogs, typically doing excellent with respectful children and other pets.

They are highly alert and sensitive, and can be trained as good guard dogs, using a deep bark to protect their family.

Despite being happy to curl up at home, this breed requires regular, possibly two to three times daily, walks and exercise. A Water Spaniel that is not properly exercised may become mischievous and naughty.
